The tradition of dry stone building and the first ‘bunja’ – a stone hut, was conditioned by the abundance of karst environment which lacks wood. The phenomenon of ‘klapa’ singing – the homophonic singing without instruments- is a tradition in Bilice which is continued in modern times.
